Another well attended AMOC SA Inc. Club run – a beautiful sunny winters day here in Adelaide!
Today we visited one of South Australia’s iconic family businesses – Coopers Brewery and Restaurant.
Australia’s largest independent family-owned brewery. Founded in 1862 by Thomas Cooper, it is famously known for its naturally conditioned, unfiltered ales with live yeast sediment. The iconic brand is now run by the sixth generation of the Cooper family.
Their recently opened multi-million dollar visitor centre that includes bars, a restaurant, and a newly built whisky distillery as well as book a brewery tour and tasting, attracting many locals and interstate and overseas visitors.

Twelve very keen and enthusiastic members undertook the Tour & Tasting to learn about how Coopers process their world famous beers. Sourcing locally grown barley from the York Peninsula, brewing and packaging for market.
Additional members joined us for lunch with a total of 17 members attending.
